30+ ways to have a No Spend Challenge

So I’m pretty sure you all have heard of the no spend challenge or a no spend weekend.

Yeah I know I’m late, I’m pretty much late for everything!

If you haven’t heard of it, a no spend challenge is when a person or family are trying to save money for whatever the reason may be. So they promise themselves to not buy anything extra other than their essential things.

Since I stumbled across this challenge on Pinterest I thought we would try it out. This would be a perfect way to save money for our next trip or trips. So starting this week we will be doing a no spend challenge for the month of May and if we like it we will probably continue to do it for as long as we can.

I encourage everyone to try this no spend challenge or at least try a no spend weekend. Not only does it help you save money but it can bring you closer as a family and create some pretty cool memories as well.

You can also sign up below to do a 12 month money savings challenge with me!

  1. I think it’s a great thing to have a no spend philosophy at times and not just to save money, but also to realize how much there is out there to do, things you might never think of doing otherwise 🙂 I started teaching my kids sone old school games that we used to play outside when I was a kid… and I had so much fun playing these games with them, the neighborhood kids even joined in!

Aw that’s great! That’s a great idea about playing old school games and most of them don’t cost a thing!

  2. Great post. I’m going to give it a go! I’m a real spendaholic haha. We have our first family holiday in a few months so the extra cash would by handy. Wish me luck!

These are some great suggestions. For me the best way not to spend any money is in my exam period ;). I simply haven’t got time to spend it. But I know what you mean, it’s so easy to do things that don’t cost anything.
