It’s Dream Destination Thursday!

If your new to the blog every other Thursday I post a dream destination I would love to visit one day. I decided to do this not just to keep track of the places I would like to go but to inspire people to get out and explore this beautiful world we live in!
This week dream destination is San Ignacio, Belize

San Ignacio is small rustic town located in western Belize about 67 miles outside of Belize City. San Ignacio is known to attract backpackers, budget travelers and people looking for a tropical adventure. It is said San Ignacio is a great place to stay in because there is so much to do around San Ignacio. People even come to stay to visit the Tikal ruins in Guatemala, which instead that far from San Ignacio. San Ignacio is full of different cultures of people which makes it even more interesting and exciting. People of Indian, Mayan, Chinese, Kreols, Guatemalan and Mexican descent all reside within San Ignacio.


Since San Ignacio is filled with different cultures, the food with never get boring. There will be something new for you to try every day! Restaurants offer great breakfast, the best steak in western Belize and a ice cream shop.

San Ignacio is known to have some amazing eco lodges right in the middle of the jungle! The hotels in town are not five star but come with all the essentials you need and of course run very cheap.

There are tons of things to do close to San Ignacio. It’s very easy to find a tour to take for the day or you can just hang out with the locals around the town.
